Creating custom emails sent from Cognise

Cognise allows for custom emails to be sent directly from the system, where it makes sense to allow admins to shape copy that matches their intent.

Learning Completion Emails

Completion Notification emails are sent from the system if enabled under Edit Details of each learning e.g. a Course.

Steps:

  1. On the right panel, under Completion Notification, select the checkbox 'Send Email'

  2. Admins will see a button 'View Completion Email'.

  3. Once clicked they will see a button 'Set Custom Template' as shown below.

  4. Once the select the button they can now add an empty Subject and Message.

  5. There are various options available including Links (no file attachments are permitted).

  6. Once satisfied they can Send a Preview email which will be sent to the signed in admin user's email account.

  7. If all is good Save the template.

On completion of learning, the custom completion email is automatically sent to the member directly from Cognise (system generated).

To update or edit a custom email template, go back and edit the custom content. To remove, or delete the custom template click Remove template.

This will reset to the system default.

Welcome Email

The welcome email is setup by system admins in Config. This appears under Email Templates. Once the content is shaped the admin can test the email by sending it to themself.

Welcome emails are system generated.
