About Certificates
Certificates are common to issue when someone has completed or achieved something. In Cognise, like most things we do - we make the enablement and experience super simple -so, if you would like to enable certificates for your company follow these steps below.
Enabling Certificates in Config.
System admins in config we see Certificates under add-ons. To enable the Certificate add-on simply tick the checkbox and Save. This means all learning can issue a certificate on completion.
β Any existing learning will not have certificates auto checked - so, you would update existing learning like a Course under Edit Details > Advanced Fields.
Once Saved more information will appear.
Selecting a Custom Style
β Whatever options are chosen and saved will set this as a global setting for All Certificates for the entire company. All learning will default to the selected Certificate style. So, what you setout [as shown below] is the same Certificate copy and style for all certificates issued by your company. Your certificates will also inherit your branding colors.
Completion Label
You can choose between a title of Certificate of Completion, or Certificate of Achievement.
Certificate Style
Certificates will use your Primary Dark and Light branding colours. The examples illustrated below use a primary dark of Blue, and a primary light of grey. There are four Certificate setouts. You can choose and preview until you find the right match and you can change at any time too. You would select one of:
Standard
Simple
Geometric
Modern
Certificate Logo
You can upload a logo specific to your Certificate. Depending on the certificate style you select, the logo will always position at the top and could be left, center, or right aligned.
β If you do not upload a certificate logo, the logo that appears on the certificate will default to the company logo seen in branding. Please note the company logo may have different dimensions and may not display exactly on a certificate as expected - hence why you can, and should have a separate Certificate logo too. They can look entirely different - it's up to you. Note the recommended height size of 400 pixels. A logo is typically one of three shapes: square, rectangle, circle. A logo might fill the entire shape or not. Again, it's up to yo to experiment with what works best.
Once you have made those selections, click Save. You will now be able to download a preview example certificate.
Issuing Certificates at Learning
There is a separate article which covers what you see/do under Edit Details at a learning. The article also covers how admins, and members can download Certificates. To view the article on Issuing Certificates go here.
