Introduction to Following
Following learning is undertaken by end users through single click actions to show interest (follow) and remove interest (unfollow). Cognise uses the terms 'show interest' or 'remove interest' in order to follow some form of structured learning.
Users favorite Resources which is a form of bookmarking.
Favorited Resources appear under the User Dashboard sub tab called Following.
Ways to Follow
Following can be actioned by a user via a course/event/program panel for example,
Following can also be actioned on the course/event/program page itself in which a user can choose to follow any course, event, or program that has not been assigned, started, or completed.
Any learning a user is showing interest in will appear under the end users Learning > Following sub tab > 'Showing Interest' (as shown in the above section 'Introduction to Following').
Any learning someone is showing some form of interest appears here. Tha means: courses, events, programs and user suggested which can also be followed (by expressing interest).
Admins - Sending Messages to those Showing Interest
An admin can send a message directly to anyone who has shown interest (see image below).
Anyone Interested appears an option under Enrolment Status in a message. Once past the initial adding content and clicking continue, an admin can under the Enrolment Status tab, select and add Interested which represents those people who have expressed interest but not started the learning.
In the message workflow, on the review screen admin can hover to click the magnifying glass to see who is in the 'Interested' list prior to sending.
Situations when users will not see 'show interest' and cannot follow learning.
Assigned, started, or completed learning. A user will not see 'show interest' displayed on a panel (no ellipsis) or once clicked through on the learning details page.
